Watermelon, Cantaloupe & Ginger Salad

This is a strange moment of the year when we hear about coming back to the office and to school, when we see the month of September lurking around the corner on our agendas…and at the same time, when we still see summer fruits and veggies on the market stalls. So let’s chill and take advantage of those last days of the hot Season with a delicious recipe mixing juicy watermelon and cantaloupe. The originality of this dish is in the use of ginger and mint, as they will enhance all the flavors.Ingredients:

  • 1/4 watermelon, peeled and diced
  • 1/2 cantaloupe, peeled and diced
  • the juice of one lemon
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • some grated fresh ginger (depending if you like it ‘rough’, I would recommend the size of a thumb, peeled)
  • a handful mint leaves, chopped
  • Guérande salt and pepper


  1. In a bowl, mix all the ingredients
  2. Salt and pepper to taste, then serve chilled
