I wasn’t a great fan of figs till, one day after few tests, I became addicted and started looking for them on market stalls, roasting them, preserving and/ or reducing them, eating them raw or cooked…and as it’s the plain season, here’s a delicious recipe of a ‘tartine’ mixing goat cheese and roasted figs. I will post very soon all my other fig recipes so you can cook and love them as much as I do. Ingredients:
- 4 spelt slices
- 4 tbsp fresh goat cheese
- 4 middle size fresh figs
- 2 fresh rosemary sprigs
- 2 tbsp organic & cold pressed olive oil
- Guérande salt and pepper
Recipe:
- Preheat your oven to 300°F
- Place the figs, cut in quarters, in a oven dish. Sprinkle with olive oil and top with rosemary
- Let them roast till they are really tender and finish with your grill for two to three minutes so they are caramelized
- Toast the bread slices
- Spread the fresh goat cheese on the bread and top with the roasted figs
- Season to taste
Enjoy!
